LUNAR ECLIPSE ~ GERHANA BULAN 2011

اَلـــــسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُـــمْ وَرَحْمَـــة ُاللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُـــهُ

Lunar eclipses occur two to four times a year, when the sun, Earth and moon align. This one is special because the period of totality - when the moon is completely covered by Earth's shadow - will last for one hour, 40 minutes...A total lunar eclipse occurs when Earth casts its shadow over the Moon. The lunar face can sometimes turn reddish, coppery-brown or orange, tinged by light from the Sun that refracts as it passes through our atmosphere.

A combination of pictures taken in Malaysia shows the moon in various stages of a total lunar eclipse on June 16, 2011.

Subhanallah, magical phenomenon~egg stands by its own
